Congratulations are in order for two dedicated and very active individuals associated with NAPAHE.

During the March 5, 2011 Business Meeting at our annual conference, Linda Ryan received the NAPAHE Award for Distinguished Service and Marc Schaeffer received the Award for Professional Achievement. The Award for Distinguished Service is presented to a member or former member of NAPAHE "whose dedicated service has improved and enhanced the presence of the organization in the higher education community." The Award for Distinguished Service recognizes former members who "have made significant contributions to the realm of higher education or who have achieved professional success due, in part, to their experiences as a presidential assistant in higher education"

Presiding over the awards ceremony was Max Allen, Chief of Staff to the Chancellor at University of North Carolina Wilmington and last year's Awards and Recognition Committee Chair. Both Marc and Linda accepted their well deserved awards to standing ovations.
